Over the Weekend...

I had a great weekend. On Friday Feb. 29 I went on a "Night Owls Retreat" with my church from 7:00 to 7:00. We went to join with several other churches to play games and listen to a service. Then go bowling until 6:00 am! (we didn't get home until about 7:30)

Squeal or no Squeal was a game that we played, a simple remake of Deal or no Deal. It was hilarious. All of the youth pastors wore Pig noses as they held the cases. After the game we listend to a pastor, Brian, from North Carolina. He talked about God being the Potter and us, the clay. In order to be molded into something worth while we must turn soft and give ourselves to God. Then, to grow in our faith from there, we must be in the house of the Potter. Because a potter cannot mold its clay when it is sitting outside his shop. We must be in church and learn the word of God to apply it to our lives.
Just like someone told me on Sunday, Its like taking your drivers test. You need to study the book to answer the questions correctly to pass. Reading the Bible is the same kind of guide. If you don't know whats in the book, how are you going to pass the tests in life? It is a wise question, Think about it!
